Beautiful new stainless steel exhaust valves

Started to grind the valves

But, problem! This intake valve was slightly bent by the broken exhaust valve. I am waiting fro a new intake valve.

Head

Brought the pistons to the machine shop and picked up the cleaned and resurfaced damaged head.

Flywheel and pressure plate

Picked up the fly wheel...

Lateral play of crankshaft

Measurement of the lateral play of the crankshaft (.006" to .008"). No thrust bearing needed.

US exhaust manifolds

I removed the anti-pollution system which can rust and leak. also, the heat shield and asbestos had to go to avoid cracks on the manifold.

Broken exhaust valve

The original problem... The car did not run for 20 years. I had it running but one morning a valve finally gave up. Thank goodness, the valve broke before the engine started. Small damaged, but after removing the piston, the bearing revealed a lot of damage. The engine has to come out.
